After been given a body bag I began to ponder the cycles of life. Birth, Life, Death. I started thinking about life and how many people seem to confuse life with death and death with life. The images presented here are of living people being photographed in the garment that symbolizes death. I wanted to make sure that they appeared to still be alive but seeminly walking around dead so I intentionally photographed my models standing instead of laying down.

To capture these images, I mainly used an old Speed Grafix 4x5 press camera in homage to Weegee. I used transparency film in order to produce a black body bag in many of the works. All are archival and printed by me on fiber based photographic paper. Each image is numbered, titled and signed on the back, and are in editions of only five.
