Black and white photography has been the backbone of my photographic work for the last 20 years. I still enter the darkroom with the same excitement and wonder as I did when I was starting to learn. I will continue to use film for as long as I can, even if it means I have to make my own film and paper. I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and cameras. My camera collection grows each year and I always have more film than food in the refridgerator.
To capture these images, I use a variety of cameras...from Holga to Hasselblad. I print the black and white images myself on fiber based paper and tone them for archival and tonal range. Each image is numbered, titled and signed on the back, and are in editions of only five.
